The '''batterfly knife''' is a recurring [[Knife Weapon Family|knife]] in the series. It is an improved version of the [[poison moth knife]], having the ability to inflict [[paralysis]] with each attack and dealing additional damage to [[Bug family|bugs]] and [[Nature family|natural]] monsters.

==Characteristics==
The batterfly knife's original design has only slight differences from its predecessor. The guard around the handle is now a darker shade of fuchsia and has more golden details on it. In ''XI'', the blade's colour is now light pink, while the guard is purple, and the handle is teal.
