The '''Bug [[Monster Families|Family]]''' (Japanese Kanji: 虫 Hiragana: むしRomanji: ''Mushi'') refers to monsters in {{Main Series}} that take on forms of insects, arachnids, gastropods, and occasionally amphibians. In {{Dragon Quest XI}} and the more recent {{Monsters S}} spin-offs bugs are classified as part of the [[Nature family]].

==Effective weapons and skills==
Beginning with {{Dragon Quest IX}}, all {{Knives}} deal an extra 10% damage to bugs. Furthermore, the [[BugBlow]] and [[Fly Swat]] skills deal severe damage to the invertebrates.
