Chronocite (γ―γγγ©γ€γ, lit. Kuronoraito) is one of the two immense crystals created by the long-lost kingdom of El Zetta. ==Appearances== ===DQM3=== The elves of the ancient kingdom of El Zetta condensed their magical energies into two crystals to control time and space, with travelite manipulating spacial movement and chronocite altering temporal placement. These powerful crystals caught the attention of the evil Aamon, who laid siege to El Zetta to obtain them. It is show during a cutscene that several elves were able to escape with fragments of the travelite crystal before it was too late, which would become the very same travelite used by Rose to allow Rosehill Tower to teleport across Terrestria and Nadiria in the modern day. What became of the chronocite crystal during the raid is not shown, but it is speculated that it fragmented into the smaller penteractic crystals scattered throughout the Lower Echelon of the Circle of Caprice. The reason for this speculation is that penteractic crystals are the key ingredient to creating the Sands of Time, an incredibly powerful artifact that can reset time to a specific point. Furthermore, it is also speculated that chronocite is somehow related to the Secret of Evolution due to the forbidden technique being the rapid acceleration of the evolutionary process applied to a single being. This would explain why Aamon has dedicated considerable effort to the continued mining of penteractic crystals through his stone golem slaves, as it would provide him with continuous material to experiment with and lead to his discovery of the ego-destroying flaw in the Secret of Evolution. Near the finale of the game after Aamon's defeat, it is revealed that the Queen of El Zetta had been cursed by the demon to become the very landmass of the Circle of Caprice itself and that the stone golems mining the penteractic crystals were her own subjects. She returned to her natural form upon Aamon being brought to near-death, and explained the tragic history of her kind to Psaro C, Rose, and Toilen Trubble. Before departing to the unknown, she used the restored chronocite crystal to create an exact duplicate of the Circle for the benefit of the wild monsters had had unwittingly inhabited her form during her curse. DQM3Nav
