Copper ore is used as a blacksmithing material for crafting basic weapons and armour. It can be purchased from a material shop for 60 gold, picked up from sparkly spots, or dropped by certain monsters such as [[Mischievous mole]]s.

Copper ore can be purchased from [[Heliodor]] (3DS version only) and the [[Havens Above]] for 40 gold or picked up from sparkly spots at [[Cobblestone Tor]], the [[Heliodor Region]], the [[Heliodorian Foothills]], [[the Manglegrove]], [[the Hotto Steppe]], the [[Gallopolis Region]], [[the Costa Valor]], and [[Laguna di Gondolia]]. Two chunks of copper ore can also be given for participating in the Bronze Cup of [[Gallopolis]]'s horse races. It has a {{fraction|1|16}} chance of being dropped by [[Leafy lampling]]s and a {{fraction|1|32}} chance of being dropped by [[Eggsoskeleton]]s and [[Mecha-mynah]]s. The ore can be sold for 10 gold each.
