It inflicts major [[Zam]]-type spell damage and has a chance to poison or curse all enemies in a range of four squares in front of the caster. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast. The drohl diabolist can also learn the perk '''Desperate Dirty Beam''' with 10 awakening points, which allows it to attack with Dirty Beam up to three times per battle if the enemy is within a 4-space straight line.
