Doleful Dirge reduces a single enemy's resistance to all elements by 40% for 5~7 turns (30% in the Nintendo 3DS version) for 12 MP. The ability has a fixed accuracy of {{fraction|2|3}} (67%) before a monster's resistance applies. It can be learned by {{Serena 11}} for 25 skill points through the ''Harpistry'' panel on her Character Builder after it has been fully expanded by Eegoltap in the postgame.  It is a hidden skill, requiring all four of the surrounding panels to be unlocked first, and is located on the upper left next to her ''Spears'' panel.
*Doleful Dirge can be used in conjunction with other abilities that can lower elemental resistance, such as [[Scorched Earth]], [[Pearly Gates]], and [[Lightning Storm]], as well as [[Anathematise]]. But unlike other debuff effects, Doleful Dirge cannot be applied twice.
