The '''Empowered shield''' is a shield that appears exclusively in ''[[Dragon Quest IX]]''. It is a more protective version of the [[Power shield]] that has been strengthened through [[Alchemy]].

==Characteristics==
The shield has a near-identical design to the power shield, being made of golden metal with a bronze section in the middle and a silver section at the center. The center has a blue gemstone in the very middle and features designs of birds in flight. Compared to the power shield, the bronze section in the middle has been polished to a high sheen and there are grooves etched on the outer section of the shield. Despite being an improvement over the original shield, the amount of HP it restores is still the same.
