'''Erdwin's Shield''' once belonged to the hero of legend, the late [[Erdwin]]. It bears more than a passing resemblance to the [[Hero's Shield]], even featuring a runic inscription that spells out the name "Roto" in English, being the Japanese equivalent of the [[Erdrick]] title. The meaning of this similarity is left up to the player's imagination. It is the best shield that the Luminary can equip, protecting against common elemental attack, gives the highest defensive buff offered by any equipable shield the Hero can use, and restores MP, allowing the Luminary to spam his most powerful offensive abilities at little to no MP cost.
