The Ersatz Estark is an advanced monster vocation in Dragon Quest VII. ==Description== The Ersatz Estark is a purple variant of the Slaughtomaton, being a powerful mechanical monster with a fearsome demonic face that wields a pair of swords. This vocation offers moderate to sharp boosts in all categories and drops in none of them. At rank 8, characters will gain a strong resistance to all status ailments and elements. ==Requirements== In order to become an Ersatz Estark, a character must first master the Rashaverak and Slaughtomaton vocations. Although the Ersatz Estark Heart exists in the files for the original Sony PlayStation version, it is unobtainable by normal means. *In the Nintendo 3DS version, it became possible to acquire an Ersatz Estark Heart as a reward by creating a Traveller's Tablet with one as a boss and defeating one. ===Stat Changes=== {|width="50%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="1" style="text-align:center" |width="25%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Statistics |width="25%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Change |- |Battles to Master |300 |- |Strength | +20% |- |Agility | +10% |- |Resilience | +10% |- |Wisdom | +15% |- |Style | +10% |- |Max HP | +10% |- |Max MP | +10% |- |Mastery Bonus | +20 Bonus to Resilience |} ===Abilities=== {|width="90%" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="1" style="text-align:center" |width="5%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Level |width="20%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Title
(PSX) |width="10%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Learns |width="5%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Battles Needed |width="15%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Target |width="50%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|Description |width="5%" valign="top" style="background:#4682B4"|MP |- |1 |Messtark
(Bustion) |Lightning Slash |1 |One Enemy |An attack that channels the potent power of lightning. |0 |- |2 |Lesstark
(Behemoth) |Metal Slash |30 |One Enemy |An attack that can carve through even metal-bodied foes. |0 |- |3 |Pestark
(Nisroc) |Flame Slash |30
(60) |One Enemy |An attack that channels the potent power of a raging inferno. |0 |- |4 |Zestark
(Mulciber) |Freezing Blizzard |30
(90) |All Enemies |A chafingly chilly breath attack. |0 |- |5 |Yestark
(Mammon) |Kacrackle Slash |40
(130) |One Enemy |An attack that channels the potent power of a terrible ice storm. |0 |- |6 |Impresstark
(Belial) |Disruptive Wave |50
(180) |All Enemies |Renders all enemy spell and ability effects null and void. |0 |- |7 |Blesstark
(Molch) |Nothing |50
(230) | | | |- |8 |Bestark
(Beelzebub) |Gigaslash |70
(300) |One Group |A legendary sword technique for cutting down a group of enemies. |15 |} ==Trivia== *Nisroch, the title of the second accolade in the PS1 version, is the name of the Assyrian god of agriculture. In the subject of Demonology, Nisroch is one of the fallen angels. *Mulciber is another name for the Roman god Vulcan. Mulciber is also in Paradise Lost as the architect of Pandemonium. *Mammon is a term derived from the New Testament of the Bible. It is mentioned in Matthew 6:24. No man can serve two masters, for either he will hate one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and Mammon. In Demonology, Mammon is a demon of wealth and greed. *Belial is the name of a demon found in both Christian and Jewish apocrypha. *Moloch is the name of a god that is found in the Old Testament. According to the Old Testament, people sacrificed their children to Moloch by passing them through fire. *Beelzebub literally means Lord of the Flies.
