Flamesplitter can be learned by the [[Hero (Dragon Quest XI)|Luminary]] in the game's third act traveling to the temple of dawn in the [[Havens Above]], and speaking to the elder. The skill deals Up to 210~250 fire damage to one group of enemies for 16 MP, but if the player completes quest #60 then the base damage will be raised to 200~240 and the limit to 400~440. This will also increase the MP cost to 32, but by the third act the Luminary will have several means to manage his mana even in a casual playthrough. The skill requires that the Luminary be equipped with the [[Sword of Light]] or one of its upgrades to use.

Flamesplitter costs 15 {{MP}} and deals 20% more damage than a normal attack to all enemies. It is learned through the [[Air Fryer]], [[Firebrand]], [[Freezer Burner]], [[Frizz Virtuoso]], [[Hair Splitter]], [[Impactor]], [[Leading Light]], & [[Spicy Slasher]] talents.
