<center><small>Not to be confused with the Focus skill tree or the Hocus Pocus spell.</center></small> Focus Pocus is an ability in the series. In the Monsters Series series of games, it is an ability that would let the user take two actions their next turn. In the main games, Focus Pocus replenishes some of the user's MP after each turn. ==Appearances== ====== Focus Pocus costs 8 MP to use and recovers a small amount of the user's MP for a few turns. Being under the effects of the skill allows the user to upgrade some of their skills into their Souped-Up versions. * In Dragon Quest I, Focus Pocus can be learned by the Hero 1 by using the Focus Pocus scroll, which can be found in a treasure chest in the Weirdwood. In this game, the Hero must also have possession of the Soul Sigil in order to use some of his Souped-Up Skills. * In Dragon Quest II, Focus Pocus can be learned by the Prince of Midenhall or Prince of Cannock by using a Focus Pocus Scroll, and it can also be learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke naturally at level 20. It costs 8 MP to use and recovers a small amount of the user's MP for a few turns. One Focus Pocus Scroll can be received as a prize for turning in 40 Mini medals. ===DQ3HD=== Focus Pocus can be learned by the Monster Wrangler upon recruiting 80 monsters. It recovers MP based on the user's level for 3 MP for 3~5 turns, calculated as Level x 0.2. ===DQ7=== Appearing exclusively in the version, Focus Pocus can be learned by Luminaries V at rank 4 and Druids at rank 1. The MP restored is calculated as ((Level / 10) -1), meaning the range is 3~8 at level 99. The restoration lasts for 6~9 turns. ===DQ9=== Focus Pocus can be learned by allocating 46 skill points into the Spellcraft skill. It costs 3 MP to use, lasts 4~6 turns, and the amount of MP restored per turn is Level / 10 with 3 MP being the minimum restored. ===DQM=== Known as Focus in this game, this skill allows a monster to perform the same skill or spell their next turn twice in a row. Although it has no MP cost, it uses MP for both moves performed, meaning that it has no effect on skills such as MegaMagic that completely drain the user's MP. It can be learned naturally by Akubar, DeathMore3, herbman, and servant as long as they are level 18 with 126 max HP, 108 DEF, 108 AGL, and 108 INT. *Focus can also be learned by any MFamilies that knows ChargeUp, SuckAir, and Meditate. ===DQM2=== Focus now requires 195 INT to learn and can be learned by AsuraZoma, granslime, LordDraco, Orgodemir, and Poseidon. ==Related skills== *Sage's Breath clear DQSkills
