The '''fur vest''' is a plain vest made out of the hide of some shaggy monster. More appropriate for a frontiersman than a dungeon-delving adventurer, it never the less provides decent protection from Fire and Ice.
==Localization history==
The armour ''けがわのベスト'' was localized in the ninth game as the slightly plainer-sounding ''fur vest'', and was switched in the eleventh game with the name ''hairy vest'' before reverting back to the former with the HD-2D remake of the third game. The reason for this is unknown as the two English terms are synonymous.
