The '''garter''' is a recurring accessory in the {{DQSeries}}. It is an undergarment that can only be equipped by female characters.

Only appearing in the remakes, the garter has a {{Defence}} boost of +3, but more importantly changes the [[Personality]] of the wearer to [[Vamp]]. It can be equipped by any vocation as long as they are female. One can be obtained by turning in 10 [[Mini medal]]s to the collector in [[Aliahan]]. Another garter can be found onboard the [[Phantom Ship]]. The last garter can be found in a dresser at the {{Immigrant Town 3}}'s theater after defeating the [[boss troll]] in [[Manoza]]. However, if the player waits too long and the town reaches its final stage, it will be replaced by a [[dummy]] instead. The garter can be sold for 975 gold, but it is not recommended to do so as there is a limited amount in the game.

In the original Sony PlayStation version, garters can be purchased at the Grand Slum final evolution of [[The Haven|Immigrant Town]] for 3,300 [[gold]] coins and sold for 1,650 [[gold]] coins. Garters can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at the [[Casino]]s in [[Buccanham]] and the Haven.

One can be found at [[Trodain]] castle, one in [[Baccarat]], and another at [[Red's Den]] in a {{chest}} requiring the [[ultimate key]]. They can also be dropped by [[dark turkey]]. It can be sold for 700 [[gold]] coins. The garter can be mixed with a [[hunter's bow]] in the [[Alchemy Pot]] to create an [[eros' bow]].
