The Grand Medal is a token reward for defeating the Grand Dragon in 20 turns or less. It serves no purpose other than proof that the player has defeated the most powerful monster in the game.

==Trivia==
*The Grand Medal is a homage to the retired [[Monster Medal|monster medals]] feature seen only in the {{GBC}} version of ''Dragon Quest III''. While all of the [[:Category:Dragon Quest III GBC enemies|monsters]] and [[Rubiss's sword|weapon]] introduced in the first portable version of the adventure were brought forward for the HD remake, the monster medals were not and are only referenced by this bragging rights item.
