==Characteristics==
A suit of ochre armour that has been crafted from the bones of a hellish demon. There are curved bone spikes on the pauldrons and it is worn with a horned skull as a helmet. It boasts a high amount of defence and occasionally protects the wearer from enemy spells, but also has a chance of randomly paralysing the wearer during battle. It is stated in monster descriptions for the [[Infernal armour]] in ''Dragon Quest X'' and ''Dragon Quest XI'' that anyone that dons the hate mail will be transformed into the monster. In the original Japanese, the armour and the monster share the same name.

One suit can be found in [[Nottagen Cavern]] and another in [[the Beacon]] in the past. Hate mail can also be won as prizes from the Lucky Panel at [[Buccanham]]'s [[Casino]].
