'''Hell's Claw''' is a skill which first appeared in ''[[Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai]]'' as one of the signature weapons of the Dark Commander [[Hadlar]]. It is a technique that protrudes razor-sharp claws from his knuckles which he uses for piercing attacks.

Hadlar first began using Hell's Claws when he made his return known to [[Avan]] and the other heroes on Dermline Island. It works by hardening his own bones with magic and he is able to use them from either of his hands. Hadlar can combine them with spells and they are even sharp enough to pierce [[Hyunckel]]'s Dark Armour easily.

Hell's Claw appears both as one of Hadlar's skills and a weapon that can be used by any unit. The skill is known naturally by Dark Commander Hadlar at level 1 and costs 30 MP to use. It inflicts 200% potency physical damage to a single enemy and has a chance to reduce their Spell Res for 3 turns. Dark Commander Hadlar can also learn the perk '''Hell's Claw Stance''' with 50 awakening points, allowing him to automatically counterattack an enemy with Hell's Claw if they are within a 1-space range of him.

The weapon is a S-rank claw that can be acquired as a reward for completing the Dark Commander Hadlar stage on Showdown on Valge Island! or purchased from the limited ''The Adventure of Dai'' Medal event shop. It has an AGL bonus of +20, a WIS bonus of +11, and has three slots for Alchemy Effects.

Hell's Claw appears as skill for [[Hadlar (A Hero's Bonds)|Hadlar]] in his Velge Clothing outfit and the Luminary Leader as a [[Mage]]. It is a long-range attack that inflicts piercing magical Shadow damage over a small area. The main way to unlock the skill is by exchanging Hell's Claw scrolls in the Shop Exchange, which can be received by playing during Hadlar's recruitment event or from Chapter 3, Episode 15 of Bonding Journey at Intermediate and Advanced difficulties.
