It is a ferocious lion {{MFamilies}} with four arms and four legs. Its name a pun based on the word "[[Wiktionary:hellion|hellion]]", which means a rowdy or unruly person, and "hell lion".

While the lower half of its body is identical to that of a real lion, its upper body is closer to a humanoid's, being capable of using its many arms in vicious swiping attacks.
