The '''Iron duke''' is a monster in the Nintendo 3DS version of {{Dragon Quest VII}}.

==Characteristics==
Iron dukes are massive warriors completely forged from metal that have been brought to life, wielding a sharp axe in one hand and a round shield in the other. With their axes, they can deliver attacks that weaken the defences of opponents or a flurry of slashing attacks. Their suits of metallic armour give them ample protection against magic spells. Although they are similar to metal slimes, they are not completely immune to attack spells and certain status effects. An iron duke appears as the boss of the Tower of Terrible Trials DLC Tablet.
