'''Leery louts''' are little green goblins that hide behind their [[Leery Buckler|bucklers]], which are hideous grinning shields they use to defend while waiting for other allies to defeat foes, though recent entries also have seen them contribute to the battle with their shields such as ramming enemies with it or just breathing [[Fire Breath|fire]], other than defending. In their left hands, they wield longswords that are nearly as tall as themselves.

It can be recruited from Chapters 9-5, 9-7, 12-7 of the storyline, as well as every fifth floor of the Great Cherry Tree from the limited "Spring Training! Train with Lt. Goresby-Purrvis!" event starting from the 1st floor until the 21st, with each level increasing in difficulty but having a higher chance of recruitment. The leery lout stars in its own Battle Road and can also participate in the Battle Roads of [[Dracky]], [[Purrcival]], and [[Robbin' 'Ood|Red Robbin' Hood]] as party members.
