Editing List of shield skills in Dragon Quest IX

The following are shield skills in ''[[Dragon Quest IX]]''. Shield skills are available to the [[Minstrel]], [[Warrior]], [[Priest]], [[Mage]], [[Armamentalist]], [[Paladin]], [[Sage]] and [[Luminary]] classes.

==[[Blockenspiel]]==
A blunt impact that deals 50% of a normal attack and leaves the user in a defensive stance during and after the move is used. Costs 4 MP to use and requires 6 skill points to learn.

==[[Defending Champion]]==
Greatly reduces the damage inflicted by physical attacks, dropping damage to 1/10th. Costs 3 MP to use and 18 skill points to learn.

==[[Immense Defence]]==
A defensive stance that boosts shield effectiveness (block chance) by two stages. Costs 4 MP to use and 32 skill points to learn.

==[[Magic Mirror (skill)|Magic Mirror]]==
Reflects enemy spells for several turns. Costs 4 MP to use and 40 skill points to learn.

==[[Holy Impregnable]]==
A holy aura that reduces the accuracy of negative status effects by 25%.  Costs 4 MP to use and 66 skill points to learn.

==[[Back Atcha]]==
Stops a random attack and sends it back at the enemy.  Costs 12 MP to use and 82 skill points to learn.

==Omnivocational Shieldmaster==
Allows you to use a shield with any vocation with that character.

==Passive Bonuses==
*With the [['Secrets of the Shield']] in inventory, a character equipped with a shield will automatically block a critical hit.
