The Magical hat has a {{Defence}} bonus of +25 and can only be worn by [[Jessica]], as well as [[Red]] in the Nintendo 3DS version. It can be purchased at [[Argonia]] once the bazaar starts and [[Arcadia]] for 2,700 gold and sold for 2,000 gold. Despite its name, it has no magical properties to speak of in this game. One can be found in Argonia Castle's treasure room in a chest that can be opened with the [[Magic key]] after the events at the [[Royal Hunting Grounds]]. It can be dropped rarely by [[Shadow slime|Dark slimes]], [[Mucho macho|Mucho machos]], and [[Grim rider|Grim riders]]. The hat can be mixed in the [[Alchemy Pot]] to create other pieces of equipment.
