It is one of [[Hargon]]'s signature spells, unleashing a giant explosion of eldritch energy and [[Curses|cursed]] mists from underneath the ground beneath his enemies, leaving behind evil spaces that harm those standing in them for a short time.

Malevolent Spirit can be learned by Hargon through [[Talent Blossoming]] and costs 141 MP to cast. It has a range of three squares in front of him and inflicts major [[Zam]]-type spell damage to all enemies in a rectangular area of effect that can sometimes curse them too, and generates evil spaces in the area of effect for two turns. Any units that end their turn on an evil space will take 500 damage. Upgrading the spell increases its damage and reduces the amount of MP it costs to cast.
