Metal Slash is a recurring ability in the franchise. It ensures it will damage a Metal slime opponent by dealing a minimum of one extra point of damage, and will deal extra damage to mechanical MFamiliess in certain titles as well. ==Appearances== ===DQ3HD=== Metal Slash was retroactively added to the 2024 remake, where it can learned by Warriors upon reaching level 39 if their wisdom exceeds 75 points. It costs 6 MP and deals 150% damage to metal foes, plus 1 raw point of damage. Metal Slash ignores Dazzle, Sandstorm, and enemy evasion, nor is the damage influenced by Oomph, Attack Attacker, Egg On, Sap, & Kasap. ===DQ4=== In the remakes, Metal Slash is one of the special abilities that the Psaro 9 can learn. He learns it at level 40 (or slightly earlier depending on his Wisdom stat). ===DQ6=== Metal Slash is learned by Lizzie at level 20. Other characters can obtain it by mastering the Gladiator vocation. Mechanical MFamiliess will take 150% damage when struck by this attack. Effected MFamiliess: *Metal slime *Metal slime knight *Overkilling machine *Scytheborg *Bad karmour *Liquid metal slime *Metal king slime *Iron tortoise *Dragooner *Mechalomaniac *Überkilling machine *Armoured wartoise (ocean) It is used by the enemies Überkilling machine, zombie gladiator, Zozagel, and Nokturnus. ===DQ7=== Metal Slash is learned at rank 6 of the Gladiator vocation, rank 2 of the Champion, and rank 2 of the Hero V. Though MFamilies vocations it is learned at rank 2 of the Automaton and Ersatz Estark. Affected MFamiliess: *Metal slime *Liquid metal slime *Metal king slime *Metal slime (merging type) *Metal dragon slime *Platinum king jewel The only enemy who uses it are ceramic sergeants. ===DQ8=== Metal Slash is a sword technique that both the Eight and Angelo can learn. It requires 30 skill points by the Eight, and 22 skill points by Angelo. Affected MFamiliess: *Metal slime *Liquid metal slime *Metal king slime ===DQ9=== This ability is learned with 13 skill points invested into the Sword skill. If the enemy being attacked is not a Metal slime enemy, then this ability is functionally equivalent to a normal attack. Otherwise, the enemy in question takes 1 or 2 damage (provided that no Critical Hit is dealt and the Metal slime enemy does not evade the attack). If a Falcon blade or an Über falcon blade is equipped, then the ability is performed twice in succession, thus dealing at most 4 damage (assuming no critical hits). ===DQ11=== Metal Slash deals 1~2 damage to Metal slimes, but now also ignores evasion and the Dazzle affliction. The Hero, Erik, Sylvando, and Hendrik will learn the skill for 12 points in their sword skill path. ===DQM=== Called MetalCut in this game, it requires the MFamilies to reach level 12 with 68 HP, 72 Attack and 62 Agility. It is naturally learned by the Anteater, ArmyCrab, BattleRex, DarkEye, Ogre and RogueNite. ===DQM2=== The requirements to learn MetalCut are unchanged. It is no longer naturally learned by the Clawster, DarkEye, Dumbira and Roboster2. ===DQMJ=== Metal Slash can be learned from: *Anti-metal (12 points) *Bounty Hunter (45 points) *Huntsman (40 points) *Iceplosion Slashes (44 points) *Materialist (24 points) *Warrior (17 points) ===DQMJ2=== Metal Slash can be learned from all the skills it could be previously, though Iceplosion Slashes now requires 38 points, and Materialist requires 14. ===Super Smash Bros. Ultimate=== Metal Slash is a skill that can be used by the Hero Smash under his down special, Command Selection. Unlike in the Main Series games, Metal Slash instead instantly KO's characters that are made of metal, such as those under the effects of the metal box or other Hero Smashes who have cast Kaclang, with normal opponents taking a mere 1% damage instead. ==See also== *Metal slime sword *Liquid metal sword *Metal king sword *Metal slime spear *Liquid metal spear *Metal king spear *Attribeauty ==Battle Visuals== <Center> </Center> DQSkills [[Category:Super Smash Bros.
