Moogle is a recurring race in the Final Fantasy series. It appears in Dragon Quest Tact as part of a collaboration event with War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. It is a small mammal-like creature with white or pinkish fur with a small pair of wings on its back and an unusual pom-pom on their heads. ==Characteristics== Moogles are small creatures with mammalian appearances that have a pair of bat-like wings on their back and a pom-pom attached to the tops of their heads with a thin, wiry antenna. Throughout the series history, moogles have had slight design variations to their fur color and pom-poms. In some of their first appearances, they even lacked their distinctive pom-pom. The size of a moogle has varied from game to game, with some being roughly a foot tall while in other games, they are several feet tall. In most games, moogles do not wear clothing, with a notable exception being the moogles of the world of Ivalice, where moogles are one of the main races. In some games, moogles are capable of flying with their wings. Their favorite food are Kupo Nuts. In earlier games, moogles only spoke with their signature cry of "kupo", but in later games, they are capable of speaking human language and often punctuate their sentences with "kupo" as a verbal tic. In some games, moogles can be summoned in battle to help out the party. ==Appearances== ===Final Fantasy series=== Moogles made their first appearance in the 1990 game Final Fantasy III on the Famicom as the bodyguards on the sage Doga. In Final Fantasy V, there is a Moogle Village in Galuf's world that the party can visit after rescuing a stray moogle. The character Krile has a pet moogle, which has the distinction of being the only moogle in that game that can speak human language. The party can also dress up like moogles by acquiring a costume in the Moogle Village. Moogles also play a prominent role in Final Fantasy VI with the character Mog being the first playable moogle in the series history. There is also a sequence where ten moogles become guest party members in order to help Locke rescue Terra in the Narshe Mines. ===Dragon Quest X=== A moogle named Kuplu Kopo appeared as part of a collaboration event with Square Enix's MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. By completing the quest "I Love Flowers, Kupo!", Kuplo Kopo will reward the player with Cactuar Coins that they can spend on various rewards. ===DQTact=== Moogle appears as an A-rank monster of the ??? family as part of the limited War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius event. It will join the party in Chapter 2, Episode 3 of the event quests and it can be fully awakened by collecting Moogle Crystals from the Mog Awakening Items Kupo stage of Mog Shop's Open Kupo! at any difficulty. The moogle appears as an auto guest in certain event quests and it can participate in Mont Leonis's Battle Road as a party member. ==Gallery== <center><gallery> DQX Moogle.jpg|A moogle in Dragon Quest X DQT Moguri.jpg|A moogle in Tact </gallery></center> ==External Links== *Moogle (race) on the Final Fantasy wiki *News article about Dragon Quest Xs Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn event on Siliconera.
