The Nightcleaver has an {{Attack}} bonus of +56, a {{Style}} bonus of +6, increases the wielder's Weight by 9, and deals light-elemental damage when attacking. It has an equipment level of 35 and can be equipped by a [[Warrior]], [[Gladiator]], [[Monster Wrangler]], [[Demon Swordsman]], or [[Guardian (vocation)|Guardian]]. The greatsword can be crafted by a weapon blacksmith.

Starting with Version 6.2, the amount of materials required to make one were reduced, making it easier to craft. Previously, it required six lumps of [[Silver ore]], two pieces of [[Evencloth]], six [[Cherry blossom petal|Cherry blossom petals]], and three [[Faerie flame|Faerie flames]].
