'''Patty's Party Planning Place''' is a specialty location owned by [[Patty]] in that appears alongside her in several entries in the {{DQSeries}}.

The services of the bar include creating and deleting player-made characters, housing {{Party 3}} members unable to travel with the {{Hero 3}} or ride in the [[wagon]], and serving as a refuge for those removed from the line-up through the effects of the [[Bazoom]] spell. [[Patty]] will also (reluctantly) take deceased party members off of the {{Hero 3}}'s hands.

It is located in the starting town of [[Aliahan]], in the northwestern most corner of the city. It consists of 2 separate {{NPC}}s behind counters who control {{Party 3}} member creation and addition/dismissal from the player's {{Party 3}}. It is the basis for the [[Party (Dragon Quest III)|party system]] in {{Dragon Quest III}}.

[[Patty]] has settled in [[Gotha]], managing the bar on the second floor of the castle. Her services can be utilized in [[Generation 3]] when the player has control over the human side of the {{Party 5}} line up. [[Monty]] the monster monitor is found in the bar as well, allowing for total {{Party 5}} control in one convenient location.

[[Patty]] has expanded her business considerably, being available in both the [[Upper World|Upper]] and [[Lower World]]s, and even the realm of the dreadfiend himself: the bar is located in [[Port Haven]], {{Alltrades Abbey 6}}, [[Felonia]], [[Slimopolis]], [[Greedmore Valley]], and [[Gallows Moor]]. 

As [[Monty]] does not appear in any version of {{VI}}, monster recruits can be dropped off at [[Patty]]'s.

[[Patty]] plays more prominently in the plot of {{IX}} than in previous games, and her bar is found at the [[Quester's Rest]] [[inn]] in [[Stornway]].

[[Patty]] was added to the game on its fifth anniversary, and set up shop in the city of [[Astoria]]. The bar allows players to change {{Vocation}}s, recruit A.I.-controlled party members, and receive general advice from the lady herself.

The planning place appears in both games to let you rearrange your party.

When [[Majellan]] and [[Mindini]] suddenly find themselves in [[Aliahan]], they encounter [[Patty]], who invites the duo inside where they describe their situation and find out more about her world. [[Patty]] encourages the two to venture outside to speak with townspeople and ask for any clues on how they can get back to [[Orchesterra]].

==Trivia==
*There is an real world eatery based on Luida's bar in the Roppongi district of Tokyo. The bar opened on January 28th, 2010, and rotates through themes based on past and upcoming titles. In September 2020, the bar had to shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but reopened at a new location in Akihabara to celebrate its 10th anniversary.
