The perfect panacea cures a single party member of the effects of [[Poison and Envenomation|poison/envenomation]], [[paralysis]], [[Sleep (status)|sleep]], and [[confusion]], as well as restoring a large amount of {{HP}}, and is consumed upon use. In its original appearance ({{DQ8}}), it could fully restore a character's HP, but it was reduced to restoring around 90~120 HP in later games. In ''Dragon Quest XI'', the perfect panacea is able to remove [[curses]] as well. The item art depicts it as a red pellet of medicine inside of a finely-decorated green-and-gold box.
