'''Pimiko''' is a character from {{Dragon Quest III}}. She is the Empress and ruler of [[Jipang]].

By the time the {{Hero 3}} arrives in [[Jipang]], the real Pimiko has been seemingly killed by the five-headed dragon [[Orochi]]. The monster then shapeshifted into a duplicate to assume her role as Empress and ordered the villagers to sacrifice young women at an offering slab deep in the [[Orochi's Lair|northern volcano]], ostensibly to prevent the serpent from destroying the village.

In the {{Super Famicom}} and {{Game Boy Color}} remake, Pimiko can be found alive and well on the upper floor of Jipang's [[Treasures 'n' Trapdoors]]  track that can only be unlocked via a wish granted by defeating [[Xenlon]] after finishing the main game. She seems to be wandering around aimlessly, and mentions that she's not quite sure what she's doing in such a place. As the [[cell phone]] ports of the game does not feature the {{T'n'T}} board, Pimiko does not appear.

Pimiko returns as a spectator in the [[Monster Arena (Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake)|Jipangese monster arena]] once the player asks Xenlon to create it, having a front-row seat. Unlike in the Super Famicom and GBC versions Pimiko is fully aware that the {{Hero 3}} has saved her beloved homeland and is immensely grateful, stating she is forever indebted.

Pimiko's visage is fully illustrated as all {{NPC}}s appear with pictures to accompany their text box, and Orochi is spoken to before the fight.

*Pimiko is based on [[wikipedia:Himiko|Himiko]], a Queen from Japanese history and legend.
*Despite the player being unable to do so, the old man in [[Grimland]] can take the form of Pimiko with the usage of the [[Mod Rod|mod rod]].
