The '''redtail hipster''' is a monster that appears exclusively in ''[[Dragon Quest VIII]]''. It is a demon with a long, spiked red tail that it swings at enemies.

==Characteristics==
Redtail hipsters are male [[Demon family|demon]]s with light blue skin, slicked back blond hair, and wear red one-piece outfits that cover most of their lower bodies, including their signature long tails ending with various sharp spikes. They also wear long red gloves, studded belts, and purple slippers. The hipsters also have black spikes on their shoulders and lower backs, along with a pair of purple bat-like wings which they can drop. They are able to spin at high speeds and use the momentum to strike at enemies with their spiky tails. The devious demons are also able to perform a subdued dance that can reduce the Tension levels of their opponents. Contrary to its bestiary description, the redtail hipsters have no magical ability to speak of.
