The '''Shadow minister''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in {{Dragon Quest XI}}.

It is a treacherous undead priest that serves the underworld.

==Characteristics==
Shadow ministers are [[Undead family|zombified]] priests of hell whose flesh and bones have wasted away, revealing a skull with sunken, glowing eyes and teeth that have fallen out. Their robes are tattered and frayed in many places and they wear a torn blue cape with teal lining around their necks. On their heads, they wear a tall red and gold mitre denoting them as former members of the clergy. They wear rings on their bony right hands and support themselves with a tall bronze staff topped with a jade green orb. The former clerics have retained their healing magic to support their fellow {{MFamilies}}s and can use the staves they carry to seal away the magic of their enemies, which they have a chance to drop after battle. The ministers will also call for help from its fellow undead to aid it.
