Shiva is a recurring ice-elemental summon in the Final Fantasy series. She appears in DQTact as part of a collaboration event with the mobile strategy RPG War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius. ==Characteristics== Shiva regularly takes on the appearance of a blue-skinned woman with long blue hair wearing minimal clothing in various shades of blue, purple, and/or white. She has control over the element of ice and her signature attack is Diamond Dust, which deals ice damage to all enemies and is often performed with a snap of her fingers. Although she rarely is given a backstory in the games, she is often known by her title of Ice Queen, tends to be one of the friendlier summons in the series, and occasionally has a rivalry with Ifrit, the fire-elemental summon. Her appearance in Tact is based on her War of the Visions incarnation, where she has pointed ears and wears a black bikini, bracelets, and anklets decorated with gold. She is adorned with various gold and crystal accessories and she carries purple and pink sashes. ==Appearances== ===Final Fantasy series=== Shiva made her first appearance in the 1990 game Final Fantasy III and she has continued to appear in some form in every main series game since and even regularly appears in spinoff games, as well. ===DQTact=== Shiva appears as an A-rank member of the ??? family as part of the limited War of the Visions: Final Fantasy event alongside Omega on its banner. She also appears as a boss in the Large Battle alongside Bahamut, Ifrit, and Phoenix where her attacks include Ice Shard, Frozen Fetters, and White Ice. After she has taken enough damage, Shiva will summon a group of Cactuars to assist her and she will give a Breath Res buff when she is defeated. ==Etymology== Shiva (also spelled as Εiva) is named after the male Hindu deity of the same name. He is the god of destruction and is part of the Triumvirate, which also includes Vishnu, the god of preservation, and Brahma, the god of creation. Shiva once saved the world by consuming a powerful poison, which gave him blue skin around his neck and throat. Although Shiva is a male deity, he can merge with his consort Parvati and become the Ardhanari, a half-male, half-female god of duality. ==Gallery==
<gallery> WOTV FFBE Shiva.jpg|Shiva, Freezer of All from War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius DQT Shiva artwork.jpg|Shiva in Tact.
