==Etymology==
In the Japanese versions of the game, the slapstick is known as the steel harisen. A harisen is a giant paper fan used by the straight man (''tsukkomi'') to smack the funny man (''boke'') in response to their jokes or idiocy. It often appears in Japanese video games or animated series.
