It is a formicidae that specializes in putting adventurers to sleep with its magic.

==Characteristics==
Somnol ants are similar to other [[Bug family|ants]] found in {{II}}, but sport a reddish or purple tint. They are capable of very simple magic that can put someone to {{Sleep}}. Although the Somnol ant and the rest of its relatives have not reappeared in the main series, they have made regular appearances in spinoff games.
