The '''Staff of Edacity''' is the signature weapon of Dark King [[Vearn]] in ''[[Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai]]''. It has gone on to appear in spinoff games in the series where Vearn makes appearances.

The weapon was made crafted for Vearn by the blacksmith [[Lon Beruk]]. Based on the [[Somatic staff|Somatic Staff]], it allows him to convert his already considerable magic power into strength (seemingly) without limit and makes him strong enough to shatter weapons made of [[Orichalcum]]. However, not having a fixed limit gives it a major drawback as the staff consumes a large amount of his magic power over time the longer he wields it. This weapon is the key to Vearn's [[Calamitous Wall]] attack, swinging his staff to create a giant wall of pure magic power that kills all in its path.

Normally, it looks like a mix between a magic staff and a trident with a notable tentacle like extension wrapping around the shaft. However, when Vearn activates the staff, the bladed end opens up into a spear configuration and the tentacle wraps around his arm, suctioning his magic to create an energy blade.

The staff shows up in the second collaboriation with Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. While it powers up the user's speed and magic stats (powering up many spells), the biggest boost goes to Vearn's Kaiser Phoenix with a whopping +24%.

The staff appears in the fifth collaboration with Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. It has a base attack power of +62 at Lv1, and from here it evolves to +97 at Lv2 and +132 at Lv3. It also enchanes magic power by +13% and adds 30% of the user's attack magic power to their normal attacks. The staff's main skill is [[Kaiser Phoenix]], and the sub skill is Calamity Wall.

The anime version of the staff a base attack of +85 at Lv1 and +155 at Lv3. Its main skill is My Frizz, but Hellfire Kaiser Phoenix can be added to the main skill.
