Oddly, in the {{SFC}} version {{MFamilies}}s that are asleep or paralyzed cannot be envenomed as well. On the enemy side, Venom Mist can be used by [[Doom slugger]]s and [[Gasbag]]s. It can envenomate a single character.

Starting with this game, Venom Mist began targeting the entire {{Party 8}} rather than a single character.

In order to complete [[Template:DQIXQuest/105|Quest #105]]: Challengus Maximus, the player must allow their [[Gladiator]] to become envenomated by a [[Jade dragon|Green dragon]], then defeat three of them using [[Double-Edged Slash]].
