'''White Wolves''' are a race in the game ''[[Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past]]''.

==History==
The white wolves are the protectors of [[L'Arca]]. The town doesn't know for how long they have done this but it is a significant amount of time that they incorporate it into their mythology. 

A monster, [[Hackrobat]], threatens the town. The white wolves fought the monster and sealed him in a coffin within [[Grotta del Sigillo]], the mountain of [[Numen|The Almighty]]. However, it did not come without a price. Many wolves were slain. But, for a time, there was peace. 

However, sometime before the arrival of the {{Party 7}}, the coffin was opened from the outside and Hackrobat returned. He started to kill the wolves that imprisoned him long ago. One of the causalities was a mother wolf. She gave birth to a wolf cub who was taken in by a local farmer. That wolf is [[Ruff]]. As a wolf, he is chained to the barn, most likely for for the farmer's protection.

[[Hackrobat]] came to [[L'Arca]]. To spite the wolves, he cast a spell on the village which changed all [[human]]s into animals and vice versa. He returned to [[Grotta del Sigillo]] afterwards. 

This spell changes [[Ruff]] from a wolf to a [[human]].

==Powers==
The white wolves are powerful fighters. They have all of the regular abilities of wolves, including enhanced senses, particularly smell. They are quick and agile, making them hard to hit. Like wolves, they attack in packs. They also known how to sense evil. Whether this is due to instinct or some reasoning ability is not digressed upon.

What makes them different from regular wolves is their bite. One bite from a white wolf causes paralysis in {{MFamilies}}s, even one as powerful as [[Hackrobat]].
