The '''Wolfram wartoise''' is a monster in the Nintendo 3DS version of {{Dragon Quest VII}}.

==Characteristics==
Wolfram wartoises are large tortoise monsters with bumpy brown scales, their bodies protected with heavy armour. Their shells are grey lined with red and are covered in numerous sharp spikes and they wear a helmet in the same grey and red colour scheme. Their undersides are a light salmon colour and they have armoured plates on their knees, as well. The wartoises' shells give them a high degree of protection, especially against enemy spells and they start out battle protected by a magic barrier. The "[[Wikipedia:Wolfram|wolfram]]" in their name is the original name used for the element tungsten, a metallic element used in high-temperature structural materials, tools, and machine parts.
