The spell Woosh is a recurring offensive wind spell in the DQSeries. It causes a small whirlwind to rip into a group of enemies for around 8~24 damage in most appearances. Woosh originally debuted in DQ2 where it was learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke. Since then, it is typically learned by Priests and similarly pious characters and tends to be one of the only offensive spells they learn. It is related to the stronger spells Swoosh, Kaswoosh, and Kaswooshle. ==Appearances== ===DQ2=== Woosh is learned by the Princess of Moonbrooke at Level 4. It deals 17~33 damage for 4 MP. Woosh does not have a distinct element in II, and shares the same resistance tag with all offensive spells. ===DQ3=== Woosh is learned by Priests and Sages at Level 12, and will deal between 8~24 for 4 MP. The MFamiliess belisha beakon and lump wizard use this spell against the Party 3 for 6~18 damage. ===DQ3HD=== Woosh is learned by Priests and Sages at level 4 if their wisdom exceeds 21 points. It costs 4 MP and deals up to 14~33 damage to one enemy group. As with all multi-targeting attack spells Woosh's power is increased if it is used against a smaller number of foes, being 130% damage against a single monster, 120% against two monsters, and 110% damage when used on three monsters. When cast by enemies, Woosh will deal 8~21 damage. ===DQ4=== Woosh is learned by Meena at level 9, dealing 8~24 for damage for a reduced cost of 2 MP. These are the parameters that will define the spell for subsequent games. The enemies cyclown and whizzard use this spell against the Party 4 for 6~18 damage. ===DQ5=== {| cellspacing="0" cellpadding="2" border="1" !style="background:#77479B; color: white;"|Name !style="background:#77479B; color: white;"|Level |- |Hawk man R||-- |- |Rotten apple R||5 |- |Conkuistador R||8 |- |Hero 5||8 |} The targets' resistances to wind now affects the damage dealt, rather than the chance of this spell missing. Growlbears can cast Woosh against the party for 6~18 damage. ===DQ6=== Woosh is already known by Nevan upon joining the Party 6. Other characters can learn it by advancing to rank 2 of the Priest vocation. It is also used by gustodians for 6~18 damage. ===DQ7=== Woosh is learned by Priests at the second rank and by the Draguar monster vocation at the first rank. It can be cast by the MFamiliess conkuistador, zepling, and sunken spirit to deal 6~18 damage to the party. ===DQ8=== Woosh is already known by Angelo upon joining the party. It possesses a base damage of 6~19, and will begin to approach a cap of 19~32 once Angelo's Wisdom reaches 64. Giant moths cast Woosh to deal 5~14 damage to the party. ===DQ9=== Minstrels learn Woosh at level 12 and Luminaries V learn it at level 11. Woosh deals 8~24 base damage for 2 MP. The spell will start to reach it's cap of 61~77 once the caster's Magical Might reaches 50. When used against the party Woosh will deal 6~21 damage. ===DQ10=== Luminaries V and Minstrels learn Woosh at levels 12 and 18 respectively, while Pirates know the spell by default at level 50, and it costs 3 MP to cast. The spell's strength is calculated as Magical Might x 0.185 + 7.35 for a base range of 9~19 and a cap of 23~33. Like a real twister, Woosh will strike enemies within its range multiple times. ===DQ11=== Serena 11 and Sylvando will learn Woosh at level 14 and 20, respectively, ant it costs 5 MP to cast. The base range is 12~36, and will reach the cap of 36~60 once either character's Magical Might hits 80. ===DQM=== Called Infernos in this game, it requires the MFamilies to reach level 2 with 10 MP and 21 Intelligence. It grows into Infermore when the monster reaches level 11 with 38 MP and 56 Intelligence. It is naturally learned by the andreal, facer, goathorn, gulpple, lionex, madpecker, whiteking, windbeast and windmerge. ===DQM2=== Infernos now requires 38 Intelligence to learn and 101 Intelligence to upgrade. It is naturally learned by the cragdevil, garudian, landowl, sickler and vampirus. ===DQMJ=== Woosh costs 3 MP and will deal up to 64~74 damage, and can be learned from various skill trees. *Bang & Woosh (2 points) *Bird Brain (8 points) *Frizz & Woosh (7 points) *Wind Blower (5 points) *Woosh & Crack (3 points) *Woosh & Zam (3 points) *Woosh & Zap (3 points) ===DQMJ2=== Woosh deals 11~15 base damage and up to 68~72 at max. It can no longer be learned from Bird Brain. It can now be learned with 3 points in Woosh & Sizz. ===Terry's Wonderland 3D & Iru and Luca's Marvelous Mysterious Key=== Woosh costs 4 MP and deals a narrow base range of 14~15, rising up to 71~78 damage when the MFamilies's Wisdom is 499. ===DQMJ3=== Woosh has the same cost and damage ranges as in the previous two games. ===DQM3=== Woosh costs 4 MP to cast and is learned via the Blowy Slasher, Blusterer, Magic Maven, Swirling Dervish, Woosh Afficionado talents. It has a base power of 15 and will deal an average of 75 once the monster's wisdom reaches 499. ===DQH=== Woosh is already known by Isla when she joins the party and is the main spell that she can use. It costs 7 MP to cast and creates a small whirlwind that damages any enemies caught within it for a few seconds. When used in conjunction with Isla's other attacks, she is able to rack up a lot of hits and damage. Isla can upgrade Woosh and is able to cast Swoosh and Kaswoosh by charging up the spell. ===DQH2=== Stub ===DQWalk=== Woosh is learned by Priests at level 10 and costs 10 MP to cast. It inflicts a small amount of Woosh-type spell damage to all enemies. ===DQTact=== Woosh is known naturally by Devilmoth, Drackmage, Lime slime, Lips, Madusa, Vendor ghost and Wrecktor at level 1, costing 6 MP to use. It has a range of three squares in front of the caster and inflicts minor Woosh-type spell damage to all enemies in a range of three squares horizontally. It can also be taught to any unit by using an ability scroll. ===AHB=== Woosh appears as a spell for Maam in her Nayle Outfit, Romos Raiment, and Summer Style, as well as the Luminary Leader. It is a long-range attack over a very wide area that inflicts magical Slash damage. It is already known by Maam in her Nayle Outfit when she joins the party and can be unlocked by obtaining the Pixie Pole from Treasure Hunts. ===Super Smash Bros. Ultimate=== Woosh appears as the Hero Smash's up special move in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. It is a small whirlwind that sends the Hero up a short distance and costs 5 MP, and is surprisingly quick to cast--the spell activates on the seventh frame after the player's button input. Nearby opponents will also be sent into the air the same distance after taking 7% damage. Holding the special button down will turn the move into Swoosh and then Kaswoosh. ==Battle Visuals==

Clear

==In Other Languages== ==Gallery==
<gallery> Moonbrookeinfernos.jpg|Princess of Moonbrooke casting Woosh.
