Squidzillas are giant squid monsters with teal-coloured bodies with yellow-green tinges on its head, as well as the suckers on its many tentacles. They are more aggressive than their blue cousins, being able to attack twice per turn, and can usually be found in the colder waters of the ocean. In Dragon Quest III, they are the strongest monsters that can be faced in the ocean and are a forced to be reckoned with, especially if several appear in the same battle. Their monster description in Dragon Quest X describes them as "sea demons" whose purpose in life is to sink ships.[1]
Hailing from the trenches of the deep sea, these ancient creatures crop up in myths from across the ages. Tales tell of them dragging ships down into the cold, murky depths.
Squidzilla began appearing in Version 3.4. Their HP reaches close to 10,000, they are able to act twice in a row, and can perform a spinning attack or a repeated barrage with their tentacles. Unlike other games, the squidzilla is highly resistant to instant death spells, but they are vulnerable to being dazzled.
Squidzilla appears as a S-rank monster of the Nature family that can be scouted normally from any banner. It can be faced as the boss of Chapter 16, Episode 9: Rough Seas of the main storyline.
