In the original Japanese, the thorn whip is actually two different weapons, {{translation|Thorn whip|とげのむち|Toge no muchi}} and {{translation|Thorny shrub/thorn whip|いばらのムチ|Ibara no muchi}}, but they are treated as the same weapon in modern English releases.
