The Halberdsaurus is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest X .
It is a more powerful, black-scaled variant of the Hacksaurus.

Halberdsauruses are polearm-wielding crosses between tyrannosaurid dinosaurs and a European dragons. They have black scales, orange undersides, small wings on their back with orange membrane, and the frills on their head change colors from orange to teal. Their black and orange coloration is similar to that of the Dragstar, while the sharp halberds they wield are made out of black and orange metal as well.
