Capable of casting crushing ice magic with '''[[Crackle]]''', damaging a full [[party]] with frost, as well preventing all incoming spells being cast with the threatening '''[[Fizzle]]''' spell. The merking is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest III. It is a high-ranking monarch of the merpeople with purple scales.
