Acceleratle is a recurring spell in the Dragon Quest series.
It increases the Agility of every member of the party, contrasting the single-target Accelerate.

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation[edit | edit source]
Acceleratle is learned by Priests and Sages at level 5, and doubles a character's current Agility until the end of battles--capping at 255. Despite Agility factoring into a character's total Defence stat in all versions of III, the spell will not change that value.
Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake[edit | edit source]
Acceleratle is learned by Priests and Sages at level 9. It costs 3 MP and will double the party's agility for 4~6 turns. Multiple castings will increase the effect and take the agility stat beyond the normal limit of 999. Defence is still unaffected by the spell.
Dragon Quest IV: Chapters of the Chosen[edit | edit source]
Acceleratle is learned by Borya at level 14, and possesses the same attributes as before. It is also used by picksy on their allies.
Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King[edit | edit source]
Acceleratle is learned by Jessica after investing 3 points into her Staff skill. The spell doubles a character's Agility per cast for 6~9 turns, capping at 999. Due to game mechanics, Acceleratle also raises Evasion.
The enemies mecha-mynah, boe, see angel, woc, and octavian pirate can also use it. It can also be cast by the Infamous Monster Clio.
Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies[edit | edit source]
Acceleratle is learned by Mages at level 4 and Armamentalists at level 12. It costs 4 MP and can be cast twice to raise the party's agility by 100% for 7~10 turns.

Serena will learn acceleratle at level 17 and Sylvando joins the party at level 15 already knowing this spell. It costs 4 MP to cast, and will increase a character's Agility by 20% for 4~6 turns. It can be cast twice for a maximum boost of +40%.

Called SpeedUp in this game, it is an upgraded form of Speed. Speed grows into SpeedUp when the monster reaches level 5 with 24 MP and 20 Intelligence.
