It can take on the form of anyone (male, female or monster) in the party, complete with their copied stats and abilities. The admirer will not, for some reason, mimic the protagonist.

The admirer is a blob-like monster. Similar in constitution to the [[Bubble slime]], it rises from the ground to attack its enemies. It is part of the Elemental family.
 
It is a jelly-like {{MFamilies}} that can take on the form of anyone in the [[party]], complete with their copied stats and abilities. Its name is a pun based on the words "admire" and "mire".

Admirers are amorphous, [[Elemental family|gelatinous]] {{MFamilies}}s that have the uncanny ability to replicate the strength, appearance, and fighting skills of adventurers. Even before they transform, they can solidify their bodies to protect themselves from harm. The Admirer is a blob-like {{MFamilies}}, but despite all appearances it is actually quite springy in nature. The original appearance of the admirer was red in colour, but on all subsequent appearances the colour was changed to a shade of neon green.

According to their monster description in IX, their green colouration is a result of being raised by bubble slimes. In later games, the admirers have lost their ability to replicate adventurers, instead gaining the ability to weaken their opponents with magic.
