Sizz is a spell in the DQSeries. It is the premier offensive spell, introduced in the original Dragon Quest, and is often learned by Mages and other practitioners of offensive magic.
Sizz is a damaging spell in the series. It is one of first offensive spells to have been made (alongside Sizzle) as it was present since DQ1.

Immediately as of Dragon Quest III, Sizz was a single fireball that attacks a single enemy. Ever since then, Sizz is now depicted as a line of fire that attacks a group of enemies; Frizz would now take Sizz's place as a single fireball that hits one enemy. The flames intensify and movements grow more elaborate as the spell line advances.
Starting from short, it got the signature of a multi-target spell, unlike its contemporary Frizz.

For other spells of the line, see Sizzle, Kasizz, Kasizzle

Trivia
In II, the spell hits for 8~16 in all versions, and targets all three Luminaries in the mobile version onwards. In III Sizz singes all characters for 10~18 damage. This range would remain consistent up until VIII. In that title, the spell hits for 8~14 points.
* short is the only numbered game that does not include the Sizz line of spells.
