The '''terror troll''' is a recurring {{MFamilies}} in the {{DQSeries}}, first appearing in the {{SFC}} remake of {{Dragon Quest III}}.

The strongest of [[troll]]kind, these brutes actually used to brush up on their reading long ago in an attempt to sharpen their minds. Their skin is a darker shade of green than [[boss troll]]s and they wear moss green-coloured garbs to distinguish them from the rest of their kin. In addition to being able to land devastating blows with their spiked clubs, these trolls can sometimes even further amplify their considerable attack power or that of another monster with magic.

Terror trolls began appearing in Version 5.2, being much stronger than the rest of its kin. They will still waste their turns by licking their weapons or missing completely and can land {{Desperate attack}}s, along with regained their ability to boost attack with [[Oomphle]]. These trolls can also perform a [[Shove]] in an attempt to knock characters out of battle.
