The Togre is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VII. It is a hideous humanoid with a bestial face that brandishes a bullwhip.

Characteristics[edit | edit source]

Stern, strong, and evil ogres that smash their way through battle by boosting attack with Oomph, causing their deadly attacks to do even more damage. They can also call down thunder to crash down on adventurers, striking the entire party at once. According to their bestiary description in X, the togres were once great heroes, but they were turned into monsters after angering the gods by stealing the Kazapstrophe spell.
