The tower is beset by a perpetual thunderstorm and the room where the statue of Rubiss sits now resembles a chapel. The biggest difference is that the town is guarded by the [[Soul of Baramos]], who will ambush the player once the statue is approached. A [[List of recruitable monsters in Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake|mermaniac disguised as a sailor]] is on the western side of the first floor.

The [[King of Alefgard]] describes the tower as being the residence of the Goddess in the time before Zoma, who likely chose it as the place of her imprisonment as a sick irony.
