The Wasteband (Originally Cursed belt and Devil belt) is an item in Dragon Quest.

	Cursed makes the wearer sometimes unable to move. The guards will forbid the Hero from entering Tantegel Castle. King Lorik will demand the Hero to leave after being revived. The belt is only removable by the old man in Brecconary. In the remakes, the Cursed Belt that could be found at the Grave of Galen was changed to various amounts of gold.
