They wear doublets with yellow stripes with ruffs and long capes around their necks, rounded hose, tall boots, and cavalier hats with a long plume on their heads, giving them a foppish appearance. The foxes have some simple spellcasting ability, being able to cast Heal, and can use their fancy footwork to confuse their enemies. The Night fox is a recurring monster in the Dragon Quest series, first appearing in Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King. It is a cunning canidae dressed as French musketeer.
